Artech to Sponsor the 2012 WBENC Summit & Salute to Women Business Enterprises
Once again, Artech will serve as a WBE sponsor for the WBENC Summit & Salute to Women's Business Enterprises. This year, the event is being held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, MD from March 21 to 22, 2012. The event will bring together America's leading corporations, government agencies, women business owners and strategic partner organizations.
Artech's president, Ms. Ranjini Poddar, is a staunch supportor of WBENC and its WBE initiatives. Ms. Poddar currently sits on the WBENC Board of Directors.
In June 2009, Ms. Poddar spoke at several break-out sessions during the WBENC National Conference in San Francisco. As the WBE Co-Chair of the event, she participated on business discussion panels with some of the most influential and forward-thinking women business owners and corporate women executives in the US.
National Conference & Business Fair
Ms. Poddar was the Co-WBE Chair for the WBENC WIB 2009: The Bridge to Success National Conference & Business Fair in San Francisco, CA, June 9-11, 2009. During this three day event, Ms. Poddar delivered several lectures and participated on business discussion panels, addressing WBE opportunities across Corporate America and globally.
Ms. Poddar has been active in the Governing Group of the Leadership Forum since 2002. She has also served as an Ambassador for WBENC, where she advocates the needs, issues and benefits of women's business enterprises and facilitates corporate and supplier business opportunities for WBE members.
America's Top Corporations & Salute to Women's Businesses
Ms. Poddar chaired the 2007 Top Corps Committee and presented the awards at the WBENC Salute to Women's Businesses in Washington, DC. America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises is the only national award honoring corporations with world-class programs that create level playing fields for women's business enterprises (WBEs). Artech was also a President's Circle Sponsor for this event and hosted a table for clients and suppliers.
Women Presidents' Education Organization
The WPEO, WBENC's Regional Partnership Organization, recognized Artech as the #3 Fastest-Growing Women-Led Businesses in 2009. The award was highly publicized and received media attention from such business publications as The Wall Street Journal.
